With voices that effortlessly merge, and with many years of combined experience in song writing and performing, Annie Rew Shaw and Billy Wright decided to join forces and form Dust In The Sunlight. Receiving plaudits from the likes of CLASH, Record of the Day and BBC Introducing, alongside airtime on Radio X, Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing the band had clearly found a lane.
Drawing in new collaborators, their debut EP was followed by a series of remixes by The Big Pink, Owen Cutts (Stormzy, Empara Mi, Maverick Sabre) and Peaking Lights. Later that year, Dust In The Sunlight released a cover of ‘Hard To Explain’ by The Strokes, which was praised by legendary producer Gordon Raphael as ‘totally unique’.
In summer 2022, Dust In The Sunlight released their second EP, ‘Same World, Different Eyes’; warmly received by Under The Radar, Atwood, Fresh On The Net, and Wonderland. The release was swiftly followed by a collaboration with indie outfit The Big Pink on their single ‘Love Spins On Its Axis’, featured by NME and later remixed by DJ YUKI, Pictureplane and Richy Ahmed.
